Bankers Christmas Luncheon 2013
The “BANKERS” of the Mt. Pleasant Bowling Club celebrated their annual Christmas luncheon on Thursday 12thDecember at the Club.
Present were 27 0f the regulars who were able to attend the function. This was once again organised by Max Sheppard and Ron Wrightson, with some assistance from the other regulars.
The sumptuous lunch was very kindly prepared by Betty Dykes, Jan Johns, Sharon Stuttard and Libby Cook, who did a tremendous job, for which we are extremely grateful.
This occasion is especifically significant, as three of our members who have devoted a considerable amount of time in organising our bi-weekly matches over very many years, and have now ‘passed on the baton’ so to speak, to other volunteers among the Bankers.
The three persons presented with individually framed certificates of appreciation in recognition of their honorary services, so diligently undertaken, are:-
Maxwell (Max) Sheppard, Ronald (Ron) Wrightson and James (Jim) Gibson.

The “BANKERS” of the Mt. Pleasant Bowling Club (Inc) acknowledge with deep gratitude the honorary services provided by our friend and fellow bowler in organising the bi-weekly matches for any person wishing to participate in our social game of outdoor lawn / carpet bowls, and it demonstrates the importance of the health and well-being of all in this group. VOLUNTEERS don’t get paid NOT because they are WORTHLESS but because they are PRICELESS On behalf of the “BANKERS” we present this Certificate as an expression of our appreciation for friendship and service.
