CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MENS TRIPLES WINNERS

On Sunday 17th November, Kevin Swan, Geoff Thorn and Barry Ellis won the 2019 /20 Mt Pleasant Bowling Club Mens Triples.

They beat Geoff Pinkus, Arthur Peters & Reg Lowe 20-15 in a close game. The plate was won by David Nicholson, Terry Ridley and Bob McDonald.

Well done to all.

Mt. Pleasant Bowling Club is introducing Community Bowls on Friday nights.  Bowling on a warm summer evening is perfect and is a lot of fun too.  We would like to welcome everyone to come and play.  The entry fee is just $5.

You can come down solo, with a friend or as a group.  You can just do your own thing or if you want to be in a competition we will make up teams.  If entering the competition then be at the Club by 5.45 p.m. to sign up and get your bowls.

For the information of all members. Well done Peter Johnson for great organisation of what should now become an annual event again. Thanks also to all volunteers who helped on the day, especially Jerry and Ian for their great work raising funds via raffles. A huge thank you to sponsors all, especially the Starlight Property Group.

The new Club newsletter has been distributed via email - a few hard copies are available in the clubhouse for those members without email addresses.

In order to communicate and engage with its members and for proper administration the club needs all members to create a personal Profile account on the website. This is a quick and simple process directly through the website - which of course you are now on.

If you do not currently have a profile:

- Click on the MEMBERS tab on the menu bar, then select Log In/Your Profile

- Select Create New Account, then simply fill in all the required fields, please use your given and surnames as your user name, create your own password

All playing members (Men, Women & Bankers) are welcome. Cost $10 per head, including nibbles post game.

Championship events commence on Sunday 6th October 2019 starting with the Mixed Pairs event and conclude with the Mens Novice Singles and Mens Singles on 15th March 2020.

Come and join fellow members and watch the 2019 Melbourne Cup while enjoying pre race nibbles,  a beverage or two (maybe three) and lunch.

Main Course with salad followed by Desserts.

Sweeps will be run on the day, come and back a winner.
